I’m not usually big on mobile games, but when I saw Tiny Death Star was out on Android I had to give it a try. You manage your “bitizens” while you build various levels of the Death Star, catch Rebel spys and shuttle people around on an elevator. I was sucked in from day one (even though it kept crashing my phone, those bugs seem to be taken care of though)!
The cute retro style is awesome, as is the music. Think Imperial March meets elevator music, but in a good way! All your favorite characters are there, Darth Vader & the Emperor are running the show and giving you missions while notorious bounty hunters and Rebels stop by. As you progress through the game you unlock various characters and scenes.
There’s a huge variety of level types from Imperial to retail, services, food, recreation, and residential. There are two types of money in the game: credits and Imperial Bux. You can either buy Imperial Bux or earn free ones by doing certain actions or mini quests, or taking advantage of certain offers. Credits are earned by your bitizens selling their wares and shuttling people about on the elevator. Credits are mostly used to purchase new levels, while Bux can be used to skip missions, or purchase upgrades for your levels and elevator.
If you like Star Wars and managing little dudes, you’ll love this game. I recommend it!
